![]() ![]() (F13TH FRANCHISE) After working on Friday the 13th part 2, you went on to act in a number of television shows and movies through to the mid 1990’s. ![]() “The market scenes from the start of The Jolly Boys outing were filmed in the old stadium’s car park, which still survives today as part of Wyevale’s premises”.Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) Full Cast & Crew. ![]() As I understand it, the Greyhound Stadium closed in 1996, and was subsequently demolished, and Wyevale now occupy the site”. Weirdest moment of the day was when I walked into the yard at the Ramsgate branch of Wyevale Garden Centre and started taking photos in front of the puzzled staff and customers. Although I enjoyed tracking down the Coach Park, the Police Station, Rodney’s Flat, the Railway Station etc – it was sad to see the Dreamland Funfair in such a derelict state and I was also gutted to find the Villa Bella had been demolished. “In September 2008 I was in up London, so I took a train over to Margate and mopped up most of the Jolly Boys Outing locations. I just pretended I was a guest and wandered in”. ![]() Next it was down to Studland to find the swimming pool at the Knoll House Hotel from ‘It never rains’. ‘Ridgemere Hall’ is actually a posh school, and the police station is residential housing. In the summer of 2008 I was on holiday in Weymouth and whilst driving down from Bristol, I stopped off at the villages of Sutton Waldron and Iwerne Minster to photograph some of the locations from ‘A touch of Glass’ and ‘Friday the 13th’. “Over the past couple of years, I’ve visited most of the non Bristol and London locations. “A lot of London locations however were just found by sheer luck (eg Vimmal Malik’s hotel), after spending ages scouring areas such as Acton, Ealing, Southall, and Hammersmith on the ‘Bird’s Eye’ option on multimap”. At the end of that same episode when Del and Rodders are chased down the road by the Aussie they run past a shop called Bella Ballet Boutique, and this place is still trading today as the Ealing Dance Centre”. Its now called Village Pantry, but definitely still the same place. I’m often up in London visiting friends and whilst up there, made a pilgrimage. “I then went to multimap (this was before google streetview), clicked on ‘locations’, then searched for W5 1RH, chose the ‘Bird’s Eye’ option, zoomed in on the view and hey presto, its still there. The directory gave the postcode as W5 1RH”. So I looked it up in my Kelly’s directory, and sure enough, in 1981 there was an E Gilbert butchers trading at Pitshanger Lane in Ealing, which is an area where a lot of the early filming took place. “For example, in the episode ‘Go West Young Man’, Del and Rodney drive the E-Type jag back from the club past a shop called ‘E Gilbert Butchers’. “However a lot of the London locations needed a bit of research and I tracked down several of them by using some old Kelly’s Directories (purchased from ebay) from the 1980’s”. “90% of the Bristol and Weston Super Mare locations I just know from recognising them from my own local knowledge, and one or two of the others I got from Richard Webber’s 2002 book ‘The A-Z of OFAH'”. In 1999 my cousin Richard and I did an article on the Bristol locations for the society fanzine ‘Hookie Street’ and it just started from there”. “I’m based down in Bristol, and my interest in the locations started when they started filming OFAH in my home town during the latter series. So Rick tell us about yourself and how it all started? Rick told us about his keen eye for locating Only Fools and Horses outside locations and how this has become a popular hobby growing on his Flickr account. We recently caught up with a complete Fools and Horses anorak Rick Clark. When it comes to Only Fools and Locations we are all aware that you will generally end up in London or Bristol. ![]()

Previously, a single body structure was used for all superstars. Another new feature is a different model for the giants in the game. This feature allows for environmental moves such as ring breaks, barricade breaks, announce table breaks, and catching (mid-air) finishers to be possible. The homing system also tracks tables so that they will be better detected when doing grapples on a ladder in TLC and Ladder matches. The game's new homing system is designed that when doing high flying moves, a player will hit the intended target with better precision. Thus, the contextual animations ensure that more appropriate attacks are put in the superstar's normal moveset. The weight detection system makes it so that small superstars such as Rey Mysterio are unable to lift larger wrestlers such as the Big Show. ![]() The contextual animation system has been refined to ensure that it dynamically swaps out moves to make sure that the game is using the appropriate move animations at any given time and state. Past problems have been fixed with a better weight detection system, contextual animations and automatic attack homing, to ensure that the character always strikes towards the opponent(s). The Predator Technology 1.0 game engine has been updated from the previous WWE games to allow for more fluid animations, with odd collisions and transitions having been fixed and updated, it also allows over 300 new moves. WWE '13 runs on the engine called, "Predator Technology 2.0", which succeeds the first version from WWE '12. This is also the last WWE game to be released on the Wii and the last until WWE 2K18 to be released on a Nintendo console. Following its release, the game received positive reviews from the critics and was nominated for the Spike Video Game Award for Best Individual Sports Game. The game is said to be the second phase of a "Revolution" in WWE video games, with cover athlete CM Punk taking charge. The game also brings back its modified "Predator Technology engine", adding in a new audio system called WWE Live. The game focuses on the Attitude Era of WWE, replacing its Road to WrestleMania Mode with an Attitude Era Mode where the player plays through the Attitude Era in six different storylines. It was the last WWE game to be published by THQ before the company's demise in January 2013, thus ending the WWE/THQ relationship after 13 years. ![]() ![]() This earns you execution points, and you can use these to tag two enemies then wipe them in a single blast of cool, slow-mo gunplay. Sneak up on an enemy, and Fisher can take them down with a quick-and-dirty burst of close-up combat. The game has a range of mechanics to encourage this approach, and some will inevitably prove controversial. It's all about knowing when to hide, and when and how to strike. If earlier Splinter Cells were always a little in thrall to Metal Gear Solid, then this one's closest point of comparison is last year's Batman: Arkham Asylum. Sneak, snipe, blast out the lights and think your way through each situation and you might just have a fighting chance. With your foes heavily armed, well-trained and working together, it's almost impossible to survive in a straight-up gun battle - this is no Uncharted 2 or Gears of War. There's still a lot of sneaking to be done but there's a sense that, rather than avoiding guards and evading surveillance, you're using Sam's skills to whittle down the numbers of the hired heavies, private contractors and corrupt agents ranged against you. In comes a faster-moving, more aggressive Sam Fisher, and a more action-oriented brand of gameplay. Out, for instance, go such Splinter Cell hallmarks as the rubber suit and goggles and - to a degree - the gadgets and ceiling hanging, corridor straddling, moves of old. ![]() Provided you're prepared to accept these, it's a stunning tactical action game. In actual fact, however, the new Splinter Cell brings in new ideas, new features and a whole new tone. After the diversions of Splinter Cell: Double Agent and an initial, aborted attempt to radically reinvent the series with Conviction, fans might have expected a more back-to-basics final game. Gamers can talk over Xbox Live while playing so it's possible for players to hear profanity from other players (though we didn't hear any), exchange personal information, and be exposed to abuse.(Pocket-lint) - First things first: this isn't Splinter Cell as you know it, and if that's going to be a problem, you're better off steering clear. Online interaction: The game offers many multiplayer modes including a much-hyped co-op mode. Toss in multiplayer play, including a thrilling co-op mode with its own unique story, and it's easy to see why Splinter Cell: Conviction will likely be the must-play action game of the season. Some of the documentary-style "shaky" camera angle effects might bother some, though. It would be remiss not to mention the outstanding production values in this third-person adventure, including the cinematic way it introduces mission objectives and Sam's thoughts by splashing words and images onto the environment itself. Fisher can also tag enemies in the "mark and execute" feature, which allows him to take out multiple enemies at the tap of a button. Players can even complete side challenges for being creative in their interrogation techniques. Fisher has acquired some new "Mature"-rated tricks, such as the power of persuasion, which lets players "interrogate" suspects and other thugs by slamming their head into tables, walls, toilet bowls or windows.
![]() ![]() ![]() It tells the story of a journalist reporting on the Mint 500 in Las Vegas. 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' was originally an Article published in two parts in Rolling Stone Magazine. I also recommend getting the criterion DVD version, which has commentary by Gilliam, Depp, del Torro and Hunter S. This is a fine movie, don't watch it stoned, you'll get more out of it, repeated viewings are recommended. Wow, look he switch to 8 mm, then black and white, now it's slow mo all in 3 seconds! Anyway, I digress. Yet his approach is much less offensive than Oliver Stone, who desperately throws every single filming trick at you repeatedly until you are pummeled into submission. Gilliam has a style which is unmistakable, it's like walking around inside of a Dali painting, everything is distorted and stretched to create a strong sense of surrealism. The directing itself is fast paced with offseting angles a lot of wide angle lenses. Also the scene of Johnny Depp squealing like a banshee after imbibing some adrenocrome and Del Torro freaking out behind him is unforgettable. The truth is that he's just a damn fine actor who didn't hold back for one second, which is exactly what the film called for. Apparently his performance was so convincing that he had a hard time getting work after this film because everyone was convinced that he was wasted on the set. Del Torro has one scene in particular (the bathtub scene) which is both disgusting and very disturbing. Of course this movie is also fun to watch the incredible performances by Johnny Depp and Benitio Del Torro, both of whom I barely even recognized in their roles (Depp with a shaven head and the bloated Del Torro who gained 40 pounds for his portrayal of "Dr. This movie takes Timothy Leary's supposition of "freeing your mind" to it's ultimate conclusion and the conclusion is that you are not actually freeing your mind, but destroying it. Drug use is simply a way of escaping your present reality, and all the drugged out zeroes of the sixties were truly lost if they thought that enlightenment and peace could come from a hit of acid. This movie is a magical ride and actually works on many levels, not only as testimony to the horrors of excessive drug use, and the tacky, ugly view of the worst parts of America, but also to the failed 60's generation, a generation that thought that "somebody somewhere is guarding the light at the end of the tunnel". that you are supposed to care about the characters, that their needs to conflict and resolution etc, then you will enjoy it much better. If you put aside the usual assumptions about a movie, i.e. The pointlessness of the movie is a metaphor for the pointless pursuit of personal gratification and greed, the true heart of the "American Dream". It is an unflinching look at the sickening excesses of a consumption based culture of America during the early 1970's, who's vacuous heart resides in Las Vegas, a symbol of greed and debauchery. For all those of you who decry this movie for being pointless and lacking soul, that was the point! This is an excellent movie, a true adaptation of the book, nothing more and nothing less. ![]() ![]()

In a turn of events, the fauna of the island has begun to diminish and, as such, the chieftain of the villagers sends an expedition to investigate the causation of this phenomenon. Several generations have coexisted with the island in happiness and peace. In addition, the game's graphics were remodeled, featuring an updated user interface and a detailed hand-drawn map.
